Most parents deeply love their kids.

The problem is,

kids don't come with a manual.

So we do the only thing that makes sense. We parent the way we were parented. We treat each child the same. We lead with emotion, react instead of respond, and tell ourselves we'll be more present when life slows down. But life doesn't slow down. And our kids are growing up in the meantime.

Parenting Paradigms is a transformation system built on research, experience, and the belief that intentional parenting can be learned.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Kaleesha Washington didn't stumble into this work. She was built for it.

She spent nearly two decades in education as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal, including her start as a Teach For America Corps Member in Los Angeles. Beyond education, she has led at the executive level across multiple organizational contexts, building and leading teams of over 100 people at a time. At every stage, she was studying leadership, not just practicing it.

Her academic foundation includes degrees in History and Political Science from the University of Southern California, a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Loyola Marymount University, and an MBA from Keller Graduate School.

She is a parent of 32 years, a mother of two, and a grandmother of four with a fifth on the way.

Parenting Paradigms is the convergence of all of it. The research. The experience. The leadership. And the very personal understanding that how we show up for our children is one of the most consequential decisions we will ever make.
